At Midlands Opticians, our home eye testing services are delivered by highly qualified optometrists using state-of-the-art portable equipment. We ensure accurate vision assessments while thoroughly checking for eye conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and more.
If new spectacles are required, our optometrists bring a wide variety of stylish frames and discuss tailored lens options to meet your needs. From single vision to bifocals, varifocals, thinner lenses, or transitions, we have everything to enhance your vision. Funded spectacles are available for eligible individuals. Your new spectacles will be conveniently delivered within 1-2 weeks.

Regular eye tests are very important, not just to check if your prescription has changed but also to check for conditions that can impair your sight.
Early detection is always better, as some of these can develop very gradually without symptoms, and you may not be aware the condition is developing. In the eye test, we will check for all these conditions. The eyes being the windows to your inner body, we can also check for health conditions such as high blood pressure and diabetes.
With Midlands Opticians, our opticians use the latest, specialist, high-tech equipment designed to bring a comprehensive eye test to your home. After the eye test, the results will be explained in full and you will have time to ask any questions that you may have. All our qualified opticians have considerable experience in providing eye care to people at home and have experience in dealing with patients with dementia, learning difficulties, and challenging behaviour.
If you are unable to get to an optician unaided, then we can come to your home to provide a free NHS eye test and dispense spectacles if required. You can request an appointment for yourself or someone else, and we can visit people in care homes. The NHS (National Health Service) recommends an annual eye test for anyone over the age of 70 and every 2 years for anyone over the age of 60. Yearly eye tests are also advised for diabetics and people who are 40 years old and over with a family history of glaucoma.
Scheduling an appointment with Midlands Opticians is the first step toward safeguarding your vision and ensuring comprehensive eye care.
At our eye care center, we pride ourselves on bringing exceptional vision care directly to your doorstep. Our primary service, the Door-to-Door Home Eye Test, is designed to provide unparalleled convenience while prioritizing your eye health.
